Margaret T. G.Burroughs ⁣⁣[1915-2010] ⁣ visual artist, writer, poet, printmaker, ⁣ educator, activist, art organizer, co-founder of Dusable Museum of African American History + South Side Community Arts Center, Mrs. Chicago Black Renaissance. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Margaret Taylor Goss Burroughs was born in St. Rose, Louisiana. At the age of 5, she moved to Chicago with her parents. She held a B.A., and M.A. in education and had an honorary doctorates degree. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Margaret dedicated her life’s work to her people. ⁣⁣⁣
